Summarized Rules

The following are SUMMARIZED Group Rules.  Your membership in and use of Linked:HR constitutes your agreement with and your willingness to comply with ALL our Rules, Policies and Terms of Services.  Please read IMPORTANT Terms of Service and Group Rules, at http://www.linkedhr.com/linkedhr-rules.html.

Group Rules have been designed to make sure Linked:HR remains professional, vibrant, safe, and useful for all Group Members. Since there will always be some gray areas for such Rules, Linked:HR Moderation team has all freedom to interpret the Rules.

1. ALL DISCUSSION ITEMS AND LINKED RESOURCES MUST CLEARLY RELATE TO HUMAN RESOURCES AND ADVANCE THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE HR FIELD.
* General networking conversations unrelated to HR and invitations to connect should be held in the “Live Networking” Subgroup.
* Please refrain from asking "x words" questions such as "what is leadership in one word" or "what is HR in 6 words." We have "grandfathered" some older discussions, written before this rule was established.

2. DISCUSSION ITEMS MUST CLEARLY INVITE MEMBER RESPONSE AND PARTICIPATION. While articles, blogs, or other reputable HR sources may SUPPORT a good Discussion item, these resources cannot SUBSTITUTE a Discussion item. Discussion items must be self contained and fully understandable to Members WITHOUT THE NEED TO CLICK ON ANY LINK or ACCESS ANY ADDITIONAL RESOURCES.

Blog promotions are NOT allowed (except in Linked:HR Resources Subgroup)
Please post other HR resources such as videos, webpages, articles, and presentations in the Linked:HR Resources Subgroup (http://tinyurl.com/linkedhrresources).

3. ALL POSTINGS MUST BE WRITTEN IN ENGLISH to make moderation of the Group possible.

4. BE KIND, POLITE, AND RESPECTFUL OF OTHER MEMBERS. Attacks on businesses or individuals are NOT allowed.

5. PROMOTION OF OTHER LINKEDIN GROUPS IS NOT ALLOWED ON LINKED:HR.

6. PROMOTIONS OF PRODUCTS & SERVICES (EVEN WHEN FREE) SHOULD BE MADE IN THE THE “MARKETPLACE” SUBGROUP OR IN THE PROMOTIONS AREA.

7. PROMOTE EVENTS IN THE RESOURCES SUBGROUP(http://tinyurl.com/linkedhrresources). Please do not post events in the Discussion area (please refer to the complete rules for more details and applicable exceptions to this Rule).

8. JOB POSTINGS RULES:
* All jobs posted must include IN THE SUBJECT AREA the job title and location.
* All jobs posted must include IN THE DESCRIPTION AREA a summarized description, minimum candidate qualifications and contact information.
* Since Linkedin is a U.S. American organization, applicable U.S. labor laws must be observed. In most cases, American law does not allow employers to discriminate on the basis of gender, age, race, religion, national origin or disability.

9. RESEARCH RULES:
* Only HR-related research studies are allowed on Linked:HR.
* HR-related research studies which are NOT in compliance with the rules of an Institutional Review Board (IRB) should be posted in the Resources Subgroup (http://tinyurl.com/linkedhrresources).
* Please read the complete Group Rules on research at http://www.linkedhr.com/linkedhr-rules.html for further instructions.

10. BREAKING THESE RULES OR ANY OF LINKEDIN TERMS OF USE MAY LEAD TO MEMBER REMOVAL.

IMPORTANT NOTE! If you notice that your items are NOT being placed on the Group  or if your items are being deleted, you may have infringed one or more of the Group Rules.  If that happens, please contact a Group Moderator or Manager immediately for further clarification.

DELETION OF A POSTING CONSTITUTES A WARNING THAT AT LEAST ONE OF THE LINKED:HR RULES HAS BEEN BROKEN.   THE MANAGERS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE MEMBERS WHO BREAK LINKED:HR RULES WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE.

We count on our Members' understanding and cooperation observing these Rules. Due to the high volume of postings on Linked:HR, postings that do not conform to the above rules may be deleted without further notice.
